Activities resume in Alausa Secretariat after Sallah

Activities returned to the Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja in Lagos on Monday, as workers resumed work after the Sallah holiday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that as early as 9.00 a.m., most of the workers were already at their duty posts to carry out their activities, despite the early morning rainfall.

At the Ministry of Information and Strategy, front desk officers were seen at the reception attending to visitors who had come for inquiries and other businesses.

One of the officers, who simply gave her name as Bunmi, said that attendance was high at the ministry, adding that as at 8.30 a.m, about 120 members of staff had filled the attendance register.

Also at the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, workers were seen in their offices carrying out different tasks. Officials manning the different gates were seen controlling traffic into the secretariat and checking gate passes.

The two commercial banks situated within the Alausa Secretariat also witnessed long queues as customers trooped in to carry out various transactions.
