The Faculty of Social Science, Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU) Zaria and the International Institute for Security and Governance Studies have concluded plans to recognize and honour women who have excelled in their chosen professions especially in the fields of security, defence, law enforcement and judiciary.
The conference and award ceremony is part of the event being organized by the two bodies to acknowledge the role of women in nation building scheduled for Wednesday, next week at the Nigerian Airforce Conference Centre, Kado Abuja.
The Dean of the faculty, Prof. Paul Pindar Izah who made this known in a statement in Abuja yesterday, noted that the gesture was aimed at bringing to light the unappreciated efforts of women in ensuring the safety and security of the society.
