Abia State House of Assembly has approved the request made by Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to access a N18 billion bail-out loan from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Speaker of the House, Martins Azubuike, said members approved the request in an executive session after considering its importance and modalities.

While welcoming members back from recess, he urged them to prepare for the task ahead, noting that their constituents expect much from them.

He added that having inaugurated various committees and set its legislative agenda, the assembly was expected to pass laws that would impact the citizenry positively.

Azubuike, on behalf of the lawmakers, commended the governor for achievements within his first 100 days in office and urged Abians to support the well-intended policies of the administration.
