The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the Oyo State, Mr. Mutiu Agboke, has disclosed that 649,183 Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected by their owners in the state.

He disclosed this when he led a delegation of INEC officials on a visit to the Oyo State High Court.

Agboke also revealed that over 13, 000 new voters have been registered since the commencement of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in the state.

He said the first phase of the registration would end today, while the second stage would start soon to enable eligible voters to register.

Agboke explained that those whose PVCs have been defaced, or relocated to other places, would be given the opportunity to have another card, or have their voting powers transferred appropriately.
