26 ships expected in Lagos ports with foods, petroleum products

Twenty six ships laden with petroleum products, food items and general cargo are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports from Sept. 22 to Oct.10.

This is contained in the daily ‘Shipping Position’ made available to newsmen in Lagos by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
According to the document, nine of the expected ships are to sail in with food items like frozen fish, bulk sugar, buck wheat, rice and palm olein.

It explained that 13 other ships are to sail in with general cargoes and containers.

The document noted that the remaining four ships would sail in with petrol and base oil.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that five ships have arrived and waiting to berth at the ports.

NAN also reports that the contents of the ships are petrol, aviation fuel and frozen fish.
