Makinde commiserates with Bishop Oke over mother’s death

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has commiserated with the President, Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, over the death of his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Areola Oke.

Oke, who is also the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria(PFN), received the governor at his residence in Ibadan. Speaking during the visit, Makinde expressed his condolences to the bishop and the entire Oke family.

Thanking God that the late Elizabeth Oke lived a good and fulfilled life worthy of emulation before returning to her maker, the governor described the deceased as a blessed woman whose womb was privileged to birth great children, whose lives have impacted humanity positively, both within Nigeria and around the globe. He enjoined Oke and the rest of the family to take heart and give thanks to God for making their mother live to a ripe old age of 97 years.

Makinde further used the opportunity to assure the bishop and the residents of his steadfast commitment to the welfare and development of the people of the state.

In a statement by Media Bureau of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, the governor said he and his team had been working tirelessly to put in place a formidable foundation upon which Oyo State is gradually being built to become an economically developed and viable state in the nearest future.

Responding on behalf of the family, the bishop, thanked the governor for the honour of taking time out of his busy schedule to condole with him and his family on the loss of the matriarch of the Oke family.

He assured the governor of continuous support and fervent prayer to God for his success and for the emergence of a credible and God-fearing successor, who will further take the state to greater heights.
