The award winning film “Dry” Is set to be premiered in Zambia.

“Dry,” which screened at the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF), and won an award at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, is set to become the first ever Nollywood premiere to be hosted in Zambia.

The debut filmmaker Stephanie Linus, took to her Instagram page to share the news. The premiere will hold on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Pamodzi hotel, and will be attended by the first lady of the country, Mrs Esther Lungu who will be the guest of honour. The premiere will make “Dry” the first ever Nollywood premiere to be hosted in Zambia. Inspired by the true story of a young girl named Aisha, the movie features Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron and Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown.

‘Dry’ also stars Zubaida Ibrahim as Halima, the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age.

Stephanie won her first film award for ‘Dry’ at the Geena Davis and ARC Entertainment’s inaugural Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) in Arkansas, USA.
