A long time ago, there was a man called Oduduwa, who history believes is the progenitor of a tribe in southwest Nigeria.

The Yorubas are generally hospitable and well-read people, but that image has become a bit distorted with the coming of…wait for it…the Yoruba demons!

A typical Yoruba demon is handsome, rich (even if it is faked), well-dressed (read a well-sewn agbada, like Ebuka’s), wields expensive phone like Samsung Galaxy S8 or the latest iPhone and has a well-maintained beard in there too.

But is that all it takes to be a Yoruba demon? Well, Four men think not.

On the latest episode of Box TV’s Things Men Say, musician Joules, Kp, Seye and Sniper sit down to explain why Yoruba men have been tagged “Yoruba demons”.

They argue over the meaning of the term, if it is positive or negative and if there is any truth to the name.
