It’s been five years since the musical sensation Davido released his debut album O.B.O, and also headlined his first concert.

We were enamoured by this first body of work, with favourites from “Bless Me” to the more popular “Dami Duro”, and it was a shame that his second, Son Of Mercy didn’t quite match up. Regardless, Davido has managed to maintain his position on top by releasing hit after hit, such as “Skelewu”, “Aye”, “Gobe” and the more recent favourite “If”.

His collaborations with several acclaimed international musicians such as Meek Mill and Wale also helped widen his reach and audience. He has also ventured into the fashion industry with the latest collaboration with Orange Culture, making moves that have earned him G.O.A.T status.

Since June, we have watched the artist take his recent tour 30 Billion World Tour all over the globe from neighbouring countries like Dijibouti and Ivory Coast to faraway lands like Helsinki and Mali. Now, this tour is coming home to Lagos this Christmas, and will be the first concert Davido has held here since his debut album release five years ago!

The singer announced the tour on his Instagram account saying:

“It’s been a crazy year for me on so many levels and we are just kicking off! We said we were going back to basics and that’s exactly we are doing; my first headline show in Lagos in five years!!

We’ve toured the world this year it’s only right we end it all in my home town – Lagos! It’s going to be crazy! Get ready, December 27th is going to be on a different level!”
With Mayorkun’s concert, Mayor Of Lagos , Simi’s concert, See Me Live and many other exciting events over the festive period, Christmas ’17 is already looking to be quite litty! We wonder which other artists we will see live in the Lagos leg of 30 Billion Tour!
