Controversy was the order of the week as we saw people come under offensive torture for expressing their thoughts on matters arising. From criticising people for calling out advanced fee fraud to getting arrested for sleeping, here is what happened in our week:

Noble Igwe Yahoo Saga

Over the weekend, Noble Igwe came under serious scrutiny by online fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys or G boys fans for condemning their activities. While some agreed with this stance, others came out to accuse him of being ignorant. A few, on the other hand, were concerned that his statements have put genuine businesses at risk. After much brouhaha, he tweeted expressly that “his tweets were not directed to a person”.

Taraji Henson’s Engagement

One of our favourite girls on television is engaged. Taraji Henson, known for her role in the Empire Series as Cookie Lyon, got engaged to her boyfriend, Kelvin Hayden on mother’s day. The 47-year-old has been quietly dating the 34-year-old football star for two years, but the relationship was only made public in December when she said, in an interview on Essence’s podcast she was happy with her personal life. Congratulations girl! *in Lucious’ voice of course*
