A disastrous event was averted on Christmas Day (Friday morning) in Biliri local government area of Gombe State, when a suspected male suicide bomber dressed in female attire with suicide vest strapped over his waist was apprehended before carrying out the wicked act.
According to information gathered, the suspected bomber was attempting to blow up a Catholic church where Christmas service was going on, but was arrested by some vigilante Muslim youth who were guarding the church.

Photos obtained show a would-be-suicide bomber; a male in his late twenties, dressed like a woman, with neatly plaited hair made to look as though ‘’she’’ was attending the Christmas church service. If not for the vigilant effort by the Muslim youths, it would have been a black Christmas yesterday in Gombe as the church was filled to capacity as at the time of the incident.
