Baby (Ansel Elgort) is a young getaway driver who uses music to drown the hum in his ear which was caused by an accident when he was younger. He is, unfortunately, indebted to the devil and smooth criminal Doc (Kevin Spacey) and for the better part of the movie, we see him trying to hold his head above water as he pays it off one job at a time. Everything seems to be on track save the fact that Baby is good at his job and Doc isn't ready to let him go as he proposes one more job.

Edgar Wright is back with what can easily pass as one of the best movies of 2017 in the movie of Baby Driver. As we anticipated the movie, we hoped it wasn’t going to be another movie which just showed us some of the best scenes in the trailer and then proceeds to break our hearts when we go into the theatre. But that was not the case. Although most of the scenes in the trailer came from the first five minutes of the movie itself, it only created more anxiety as to what more could the director and writer of this movie have in store for us.

Everything seems to be on track save the fact that Baby is good at his job and Doc isn’t ready to let him go as he proposes one more job.

The characters in this movie were beautifully cast and their back stories carefully told. We get to meet the Joker and Harley Quinn of the movie in the characters of Buddy and Darling (Jon Hamm and Eiza González), the master of crazy Bats (Jamie Foxx) as well as the pretty blonde thing that wants Baby to lose it all, waitress Debora (Lily James).

The use of beats and music to envelope the scenes in the movie was definitely the best element to the movie. Oh! Let’s not forget about Sam (Doc’s son) who is a chip off the old block!

It was a great movie, great cast, great storyline and an awesome playlist! Your Shazam app will definitely come in handy!
