The Rock: Gibraltar
Everyone loves a good holiday – with how busy things can get in life, it’s great to have the opportunity to take some time to relax, laugh and enjoy the company of loved ones. My family and I always on the hunt for new places to experience, enjoy the food and explore the sights.
Gibraltar is a located in the south of Spain and being a small city, it can be toured in less than a day by car. Main attractions include the Rock of Gibraltar, St Michael’s Cave and bays such as Catalan and Rosa. One of the most exciting parts of a visit to Gibraltar for many tourists is seeing the Barbary Macaques which can be found almost everywhere in the city-most especially on the rock.
Aside from the sites, Gibraltar offers the ideal environment that caters to people of various walks of life. Great weather all year round allows for activities such as tours with dolphins and a visit to Alameda Botanical Gardens. The main streets are bustling with tourists and locals and always filled with life. As the sun sets, bars and casinos (some on water) fill up which is the start of the buzzing nightlife. And the best for last, the food is GOOD. Being a seaside city, there are affordable seafood restaurants on every other street.
All in all, Gibraltar is a serene location with great food, people and weather-what more could you ask for on vacation?
