It’s official: Kenzo’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon are collaborating with H&M this year for a new collection. This is exciting seeing that previous collaborations with Balmain, Viktor & Rolf, the Margiela and even Karl Lagerfeld have been quite successful. The collection of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear clothes and accessories will arrive in 250 H&M stores around the world and online on November 3 after a mid-October show with undisclosed details.

Speaking on their approach to designing this collection, Humberto Leon says ‘We decided to treat the collaboration as a conversation between us and Kenzo Takada and what he began’ and Carol Lim said ‘People have always told us, “I remember this Kenzo collection, are you guys going to bring back x, y, z?” We tend not to think that way; the archive informs us in subtle ways. But this allows us to have a more direct conversation, which I think people will be excited about: the present customer, the original customer, and a new customer’.

I’m excited for this collaboration seeing that I love these brands and I love that . Anyone excited too?
