How To Wear Blue Mascara

In today’s beauty post, I’ll be giving you some helpful tips on how to wear blue mascara. Yes, blue mascara.

A lot of people are scared of wearing outrageous colors on their face talk less of wearing crazy colors on their eyes. Blue eye makeup can go so so wrong but if you are able to pull it off, you’ll be looking fashion forward and edgy in no time.

The mascara I’ll be using for this post is the Lancome Grandiôse Curling Wide-Angle Fan Effect Mascara.

It’s very blue out of the bottle but it is wearable. Trust me.

My first tip for wearing blue mascara is to have a nude eyeshadow look. This will allow the blue mascara to stand out. For today’s look, I used the colors Morocco and Fudge from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture Palette. Blended together, they created a wash of color that allowed for the blue mascara to stand out.

Another tip I have is to keep the face makeup to the barest minimum possible. Let your eyelashes be the talking point of your makeup. For this look, all I did was use foundation, a little bit of concealer and blush.

And my last tip is to also keep the lips nude. Basically, just keep everything nice and nude and let your eyelashes do the talking.

I have never dabbled with blue mascara but this one is really good. What I like about it is the fact it doesn’t dry ‘blue’ but dries to a navy/black color. Makes it really wearable.
