Dance association holds fifth national conference

The Association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ADSPON) will, from today to October 6, hold its fifth national conference at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The Association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ADSPON) will, from today to October 6, hold its fifth national conference at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The three-day event, with the theme: Dance As Therapy For National Security And Economic Stability, is organised in collaboration with Osun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism and OAU.

A statement by the association’s spokesperson, Professor Jeleel Ojuade, the conference will feature paper presentations, workshops and round table discussions.

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, will be guest of honour, while his Special Adviser on culture and tourism, Taiwo Oluga will be special guest.
Others are keynote speaker, Professor Bakare Ojo Rasaki; lead paper presenter, Professor Tor Lorapu; and chief host, Professor Eyitayo Ogungbenro Ogunbodede.
