DJ Khaled has revealed plans to release a new album this year and he titles this one Father of Asahd. Off that album comes the lead single, Top Off, featuring power couple JAY-Z and Beyonce as well as Future. JAY and Beyonce previously featured on Shining off Khaled’s 2017 album Grateful while Future also featured on three songs off the project.

Top Off, the first track off the forthcoming album, is a track about outrunning the police, enjoying the finer things, and features multiple shout-outs to imprisoned rapper Meek Mill.

The track opens with chill-inducing funhouse keyboards and Jay making reference to Meek as a bid of support of the imprisoned rapper, who has been behind bars since November in a contentious case involving an alleged series of probation violations. Jay also mentions his recent $91,000 bill for Ace of Spades champagne at a New York club like it’s no big deal and gives a colourful shout-out to his daughter, Blue Ivy. “Me and Blue having a sing-off/ That’s a raspberry beret, the kind you find in a second-hand store.”

Beyoncé drops in halfway through the track to remind everyone that there are two major ballers in their household and presumably throwing shade to someone who broke the internet last year. “I’m the only lady, you’re still the realest n—a in the room. I break the internet, top 2 and I ain’t #2/ My body, my ice, my cash, all real I’m a triple threat/ Fuck it up and then leave then fuck it up and leave again.”.

The cover artwork features Khaled and his son, Asahd, looking good in a flashy limo finished with white leather seats.

The release date for Father of Asahd hasn’t been announced, but you can watch the trailer to the album below:
