These facts will not only blow your mind but have you thinking, “What else don’t I know about the world around me?” The world is a fascinating place with interesting animals, people, and events. You might know that the tongue is the strongest muscle in the body but we are pretty sure this list will leave you amazed as regards things you did not know.

There are so many reasons why people aspire to become presidents, and perks like this is definitely at the top of our list. Producers of G.O.T, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed during the 2016 premiere that President Obama request advanced episodes of Games of Thrones which they described as an ‘aha’ moment for them. Of course, his request was granted which makes him to the second person asides Bran Stark to know the events of the series before the rest of the world!

O.J Simpson as Terminator


In 1984, Orion Pictures debated on the actor who would play the role of Kyle Reese and had pretty specific requirements. They wanted an actor who was gaining popularity in the U.S at that time as well as had some foreign appeal. Sylvester Stallone and Mel Gibson turned down the role before the studio suggested O.J Simpson but the director, James Cameron felt like Simpson was not convincing for the role of a killer. Arnold Schwarzenegger became The Terminator instead.

This historical mountain attracts hundreds of climbers who attempt to reach the peak. Not many have been successful as there are over 200 corpses that have become familiar fixtures on the way to the top. For mountaineers, these deaths are tragic but unavoidable if you want to achieve such a great feat. The most popular corpse on the mountain is called Green Boots (because of his neon boots) and is said to be Tsewang Paljor who died on the mountain in 1996.

Selfie deaths of 2015


The selfie craze inspired competition in smartphone companies as some pride themselves in making phones with the best picture quality. Well, in 2015 alone more people around the world died from taking selfies than from shark bites. Most of these accidents where as a result of falling to being hit by moving vehicles. Tourist destinations and some countries have issued signs on how to avoid losing a life while taking a selfie. Who knew getting that perfect picture could get you killed?

Russia and beer


Save from their signature drink vodka, beer is the second most popular alcoholic drink in Russia. For the citizens, it’s the less harmful alternative because up until 2011, anything containing less than 10 percent alcohol was classified as a foodstuff. Russian alcohol consumption is already twice the critical level set by the World Health Organisation and in the bid to counter the growing alcohol abuse, President Dmitry Medvedev signed a bill that officially classified beer as an alcoholic drink in 2011.
