Five Hilarious “The Ting Goes” Videos
By now, you may have heard someone say something like “the ting goes skraa pap-pap-pap-pap-pap”, or “man’s not hot”, or you already know most of the lyrics to the song.
Roadman SHA’s freestyle ‘The Ting Gies Skrr” is the best meme of September 2017 for many reasons.
Don’t worry, if you have no clue what it’s all about, I’ll put you through it.
UK comedian-rapper Michael Dapaah also known as Roadman Shaq had a “Fire in the Booth” appearance on BBC Radio 1Xtra last month. The result of that led to the now-viral clip known as “the ting goes” or “man’s not hot”.
Roadman Shaq made sounds in the video that will live forever online, and the thing has been turned into memes, which we will get into another day. But for today, here are five of our favourite videos inspired by his freestyle.
First of all, here is this video of the full song someone uploaded on YouTube. The best thing about this video is that the uploader added some extra “spice to the video with the way he visually imagined the song. It sheds light on some of the lyrics of the song that you may not pick up at first. And everyone can relate to the last part when you gently try to add chips or meat or plantains into an angry pot of oil.
When your mechanic asks what’s wrong with your car and you have to explain the sound it’s making, this is what happens.
