Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award. This award is given to musicians and directors that have distinguished achievements in music and film. Stars that have received this award are Madonna, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Kanye West and David Bowie.
For over two decades, Lopez has had a successful career in music and have sold over 80 million records all over the world. She has 16 top 10 hit songs, three number one albums and has featured in films. In fact, she is the first woman that had a number one album and film in the same week.

In addition to a successful career, Lopez has contributed to many charitable causes. She and her partner Alex Rodriguez contributed $1 million (N362 million) to humanitarian aid for victims of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.
She is set to perform live in this year’s MTV Video Music Awards for the first time after 17 years.
