Marvel has been ruling the world of superhero movies for quite some time. Ten years down the line, they show no signs of slowing down and as the third instalment in the Thor series, Thor: Ragnarok holds a special place in my heart for a number of reasons.

Honestly speaking, the first two Thor movies are very forgettable movies and this is mostly because of the tone. Every superhero movie has a certain tone that is unique to it (Captain America is an action movie, Ant-man is a comedy heist movie, Spider-man is a high school movie etc) and Thor some trouble finding a tone that worked for it.

With Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel showed that they were able to learn from their mistakes and push the boundaries of their creativity. The movie had me laughing till I choked on my popcorn and I couldn’t believe these were the same actors that featured in the first two movies (Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston specifically).

I also felt it was a smart move to add The Hulk to the mix and I enjoyed his banter with Thor. Mark Ruffalo was awesome as well and I found the rivalry between the two characters to be quite interesting.

For some scenes in the movie, there were jokes and teases about who was stronger between Thor and The Hulk. We even had The Hulk calling himself ‘raging fire’ and referring to Thor as ‘smouldering fire’. With such a healthy competition, it’s difficult not to ask yourself who the stronger avenger is.

To make things a little more interesting, there was a scene where the two characters slugged it out in an arena but they never showed us how that fight ended.

So what do you think, people? Who won that fight?

Also, who do you think the stronger avenger is: Thor or The Hulk? Or maybe there is a hidden contender we aren’t looking at.
