Reese Witherspoon Talks “Legally Blonde 3” With MGM
Fifteen years after in Legally Blonde 2, Reese Witherspoon is in closing a deal with MGM for Legally Blonde 3.
She acts she takes on her role as Elle Woods, an idealistic lawyer.
According to Deadline, she will be joined by some of the cast in the original Legally Blonde in 2001. The writers Karen McCullah and Kirsten Smith are also back.
Witherspoon will also produce alongside Marc Platt.
Deadline hints that Legally Blonde 3 will be “about female empowerment”.
Legally Blonde (2001) grossed $141 million worldwide while the sequel Legally Blonde: Red, White and Blonde (2003) grossed $124 million.
