Teyana Taylor Won NYFW

Sean Paul probably sang Everblazing way ahead of time for Teyana Taylor because she brought fire to the runway at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) shows.

Taylor’s dance routine in the viral video for Kanye West’s Fade last year left mouths gaping. The video attracted the Best Choreography Award at this year’s MTV VMAs. She made sure we all knew what an amazing performer she was, and she didn’t stop there.

Kanye West showed that he was in support of her modelling career when she walked in his Yeezy Season 4 show last September. But this year, Taylor made it clear at NYFW that she wants to be more involved in fashion shows.

She stole the runway at Italian streetwear brand GCDS’s show with her performance on Friday. Taylor closed the show with the fiercest runway walk, ditching a regular catwalk and strutting her stuff while modelling a white two-piece, stunner shades and white boots.

Twitter users eventually turned this walk into a meme, where she removed her glasses and flipped her hair with so much sass.

She later told USA Today of her first appearance for GCDS, saying:

“When I watched the video I was like, ‘Damn, I’m so extra.’ But then I realized I’m not extra, I’m spicy, that’s all. I’m just spicy, I put a little spice in everybody’s life.”

On Saturday night, she took the runway again and burst out a choreographed routine at the Philipp Plein show while Rapper Future performed “Mask Off” on stage. She shared the video of her performance on her Instagram page.

And then she did it AGAIN as she took to the runway in The Blonds’ New York Fashion Week show, wearing a bright blue high-cut, skin-tight leotard, which showed off her curves and toned legs.

The low-cut neckline leotard was paired with a bright rainbow biker jacket, neon green wraps on her wrists and hands, a spiked silver necklace, large hoop earrings and bold gold ankle boots. Her blond hair was slicked back away from her face and her glittery eye makeup added a wow factor.
