Although the red carpet at this year’s BAFTA Awards was less colourful than normal, it was much more vibrant and interesting. With the same agenda of the Golden Globes, women in the film industry were called on to wear black. With the aim of using their power as communicators and connectors to shift the way society sees and treats them.

This fashion and social statement brought solidarity to the red carpet among women and a few exceptional men. They did this to support the #TimesUp movement in the fight for equality. As well as a protest against sexual allegations sweeping through the entertainment industry.

The colour of the event gave room for celebrities to follow the fashion rule of simplicity. It featured celebrities in bespoke designer dresses, tuxedos and phenomenal jewellery. We have curated some of the best-dressed guests at the 2018 BAFTA Awards. From Angelina Jolie’s  in a Ralph & Russo velvet wrap dress to Gemma Arterton in a pleated Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Spring 2018 Couture dress.
