Sleeveless tops are quite chic until you raise your arm and reveal dark armpits. Dark underarms may happen to both men and women. The major causes of dark armpits are shaving often and using antiperspirants regularly.

Tight clothing can lead to poor ventilation in your underarms which can cause dead skin cells to accumulate there which can cause infection.

Below are helpful tips to help you get rid of dark armpits:

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a good option to get rid of dark armpits has it contains vitamin E that can help lighten the underarms.

To achieve lighter underarms ensure you massage the darkened area with coconut oil.  Leave the oil to seat on the skin from 10 to 15 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this process until you achieve the desired result.

Lemon

Lemon has a high concentration of citric acid which is a natural exfoliant for skin. Scrub your armpits with lemon for about 2 minutes and leave it to sit on the skin for a while before washing it off. Ensure you are consistent with this routine until you get lighter underarms.

Apply milk to the underarm area for a while before washing off. This routine will help in lightening the skin tone of the underarms.

Turmeric is often used as a face mask to brighten up the skin.  To brighten your armpits mix turmeric, milk and honey together. Apply mixture to your underarm for 10 minutes then rinse off.

Consistent application on the armpits will definitely lighten the skin.

Aloe vera contains an enzyme called aloesin that is responsible for skin pigmentation. Open up the aloe leave and extract the gel. Apply the gel to your armpits for some minutes then rinse off with water.

Cucumbers are often used to lighten under-eye dark circles. Apply cucumber slices to your underarm for a few minutes before you wash it off. This regime is sure to brighten your armpits soonest.
