Rising rap star, Khalid Suleiman Chibuikem, better known as Khaleedthefirst, has released his first single of 2023 dubbed, From The Cartel.
The new tune, which features Rebel wav a rapper and singer from Abuja comes after the success of his debut Extended play Khaleed The First.
From The Cartel by Khaleedthefirst speaks against drug abuse, especially the use of hard drugs like marijuana, as captured in songs like Rufina.
“I wanted to talk about the use of hard drugs like weed, locally known as Igbo. In the song, I talked about my mother not knowing whether or not I smoke, until she found out that I do not. Her name is actually Rufina.”
The record soars for its profound use of English, Yoruba, pidgin and Hausa languages.
The alternative artist who says his optimism about the year 2023 also told his fans to anticipate the visuals for this new song soonest.
