In the entertainment industry, almost everyone is required to go through a makeover and fashion. Some can be drastic, and others stick to more natural looks but all in all, this process is described as “Styling”.


Like every other art specification, it takes talented minds to conceptualize the final look. And that’s where the stylists come in.

With a list of well-established style stars as and here are the lists for top celebrity stylists in Africa

  1. John J. Angel

Tony Montana is styled by the internationally renowned Nigerian celebrity fashion stylist John J. Angel, also referred to as De Angelic Touch Stylist, on the set of the Nigerian film “Wish U Well,” which stars Swae Lee.

The head of De Angelic Touch Stylist, an organisation that caters to the fashion and style needs of celebrities and the majority of Nigerian fashion enthusiasts, is a professional who has made a name for himself in the fashion, life, and style industries thanks to the praise that both foreign and Nigerian artists have given his works.

  1. Empress Jamila

This name definitely will ring a bell to fashion observers. The style queen herself, Empress Jamila. Most Ghanaian celebrities; females of course, have had an experienced her magical style and her approach to making a grand entry.

What makes her distinct from my view point is the relationship she has with her celebrity clients. That makes her work very easy and understands their approach to fashion.

She set  the pace last year when all three celebrities she styled emerged the top three best dress from last year’s VGMA. Victoria Michaels, Nana Akua Addo and her number one client she always loves to work with, Joselyn Dumas.

  1. Toyin Lawani

Toyin Lawani is the founder of Tiannah Styling and a few other successful businesses placed under the umbrella of the Tiannah Empire. Popularly referred to as Mama Tiannah, she has been a significant staple in the Nigerian entertainment industry due to her presence there as a stylist. She has styled Wizkid, Stephanie Okereke, Ciara, Keri Hilson, Natalie Nunn, and others. A graduate of English Language from the University of Lagos, Toyin, unsatisfied with that, also attended Oprah Benson Beauty Institute in Nigeria, John Yin beauty school in Korea and the Carlton beauty institute in London.

  1. Kelvincent (Style God)

A two times glitz style award winning stylist,the style God indeed. It is staggering seeing men take over this sphere where women seemingly run. For Kelvincent, he has undoubtedly proven himself  as fashionable force to reckon with. His appearance burbs it all.

From the inception of his career which has not been so long a time till date, he has made celebrities like Efya and Deborah wow us with simple but edgy looks. To Kelvin, less is the ultimate slay trick.

Veronica Ebie-Odeka is the CEO of Vanestyle, a lucrative fashion business that spans luxury lifestyle consulting, import merchandising, and product manufacturing/marketing. She is famed for championing the need to support made in Nigeria clothing. He triples as a style influencer, fashion consultant and stylist who showcases his versatility and passion for the fashion industry through his looks. He has styled A-list celebrities such as Tonto Dikeh, Juliet Ibrahim, 2face, Annie Macaulay, Toke Makinwa and Big Brother winner Mercy Eke. He is currently studying Business Administration at the University of Lagos but has a formal certification in styling from the School of Style in New York
