Heritage Bank Closure: Mercy Eke Cries Out Over ₦100M Deposited 

Reality TV Big brother Naija winner Mercy Eke is lamenting the closure of heritage Bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, alleging she has over a 100 Million naira currently with the bank.

Mercy Eke shared her ordeal on social media, in a series of “X” posts, she posted, “I really don’t know how to react about this … I have been hoping for the best .. thinking there’s a way out”

While reactions continue to pour in, she revealed she currently used the bank, because they sponsored Big brother Naija during her set, which was in 2019.

Recall, the Central Bank of Nigeria revoked the operating licence of Heritage Bank, where Eke reportedly has over 100 million Naira deposited.

Meanwhile, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has assured depositors they will receive up to 5 million Naira in insurance, but this falls far short of Eke’s savings.

Mercy Eke also accused her account manager of luring her into depositing such huge amounts with the bank, knowing the irregularities the bank is currently facing with the CBN.

Mercy Eke shared the notice of liquidation from the bank, on her timeline, while stating she is unsure how to proceed.
