A local furniture manufacturing company, Chutes and Ladders Limited (CANDL), has donated N1 million to HPF Eastline Shopping Complex Operators’ Association to enhance security infrastructure for about 3,000 businesses and investors in Lagos.

Chief Executive Officer, CANDL, Oluwabunmi Benson Ajila, said the donation was part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to its operating community.

He said the shopping complex, located along the Lekki-Epe Expressway and home to over 3,000 businesses, had faced security challenges, including burglary and theft.

Ajila said as part of commitment to giving back to the community that has supported its growth over the past 12 years, the company acknowledged the security issues and made the donation to address them.

He said the fund will be used to purchase essential security equipment, such as bicycles, torch lights, security vests, and walkie-talkies, to enhance safety and surveillance capabilities within the complex.

Receiving the donation, Chairman of the Security Committee at HFP Eastline Shopping Complex, Hendricks Agu, expressed gratitude. He noted that the current economic situation in the country had exacerbated security issues; hence the gesture was much-needed and appreciated.
