Federal Government has relaunched Citizens’ Delivery Tracker for projects monitoring and policies.

At the unveiling of the tracker in Abuja yesterday, Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination and Head of the Central Coordination Delivery Unit (CDCU), Hadiza Bala, said the development would enable Nigerians to monitor and report government policies and projects.

According to her, the upgraded citizens delivery tracker will enable Nigerians to track and monitor the priority programmes and projects of the present government.

She called on Nigerians to hold government to account by ensuring that it delivered on its mandate.

The CDCU head said the development was in line President Bola Tinubu’s directive that there must be first-hand participation of Nigerians in the verification of the delivery of government projects, and policies.

Recall that at the November 2023 cabinet retreat for ministers, presidential aides and top government functionaries, the President said the Federal Government would ensure that citizens were integral part of monitoring and performance management of his administration.

The platform “will enable all citizens to view the presidential deliverables and key performance indicators of all ministries and give their own assessment on the performance of each of those indicators,” she said.

The Guardian reports that the CDCU was created through an Executive Order signed by the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, in 2022 to coordinate and monitor presidential priorities through the development of deliverables, signing of performance bonds, among others.
