Lagos marketing solution agency, X3M Ideas, has brought a spur to campaigns and marketing communications in Globacom as it recorded three awards at the just concluded African Cristal Advertising Festival, which held recently in Marrakech, Morocco. The three awards coming courtesy of X3M TV commercial, tagged
‘Unmatched’ won in the categories of Media, Telecoms and Brand Entertainment, for content in TV/cinema and coasted home with a bronze for each category.

Recalled that X3m Ideas, joined the Glo team as one of its roaster agencies less than six months ago after it severed client-agency relationship with rival operator, 9Mobile. Apart from the X3M Ideas’ exploits for the Glo brand, the agency’s self sponsored anti–depression social service advertising tagged Look Beyond, which broke last year in support of Lagos State’s effort at fighting the sudden increase in the rate of suicides in the country, won a remarkable grand Cristal.

The campaign, which featured a series of ads, including online film, is one of the agency’s deliberate attempts to being a social contributor and dependable voice in supporting Lagos State Government to ensure a safe society for all. The campaign, which won a Grand Cristal, an equivalent of a Grand Prix in the social/CSR category, was a major voice that permeated the social media, youth-focused TV channels to drum up support for Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode’s battle cry against suicides in the state and the country at large. The short “socialmercial” which was heavy on HipTV also trended heavily on youtube, twitter and other social media platforms, discouraging youths from the growing but painful decision to ‘end it all.’

The award justifies X3M Ideas’ Corporate Social Responsibility support to the society and the Lagos State Government’s efforts.

Apart from the Goodvertising Grand Cristal award and three medals for Globacom, X3M Ideas medal haul also include a Bronze for Friesland CampinaWamco – Peak Milk Heritage campaign via the mass consumption products category while the agency’s work for a previous client, 9Mobile also recorded three bronze medals in media, telecommunications; and brand entertainment and content for TV/cinema categories.

To further consolidate its winning, Look Beyond, the agency’s social cause campaign picked four other awards, including a gold, a silver and two bronze medals to advance the cause of Nigerian advertising on the global arena.

The African Cristal Festival rewards the best advertising campaigns created and broadcast over the African continent on any media. The 2018 edition focused on cultural stakes and their implications for brands. The current edition of the African Cristal Festival centres on helping agencies grasp the creative and multi-cultural future in line with the African emerging market.
