The Sovereign King

The glory of the Almighty God is awesome, and can be frightening, Ex.40:34; 1 Kgs.8:11; Ex.24:17. This is aptly demonstrated in the experience of Israel. His glory has indescribable supernatural blinding brightness, Lk.2:9, it is beautiful for all situations and, the joy of the whole world, Ps.48:1-2, when accompanied with sound or words it is thunderous, Ps.18:3, His glory is celebrated by the heavens, Ps.19:1, Ps.18:10, it is full of splendour, majesty, strength, beauty, righteousness and judgement, Ps.96:6; Ps.97:2-3, decorated with gold and the earth is no more than its footstool, marked out with unadulterated holiness, Is.6:3; Rev.4:1-11.
