The 7th edition of the annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA) may have come and gone, but one act that appears dissatisfied with the turn out of this year’s event is Achievas Music star, Joshua Inyenzo, who is well known by his stage name Solidstar.

Solidstar who wasn’t nominated or attended the awards took to Twitter to vent his feelings towards the award’s organisers, accusing them of selling their awards to the highest bidder.

The One in a Million and Skiibo took to the social media to air his displeasure for losing out. In a series of tweets Solidstar, criticised the award organisers for partiality.

He wrote, “Most of these Nigerian awards are just jokes, especially NEA! All these highest famzer gest nominated and highest bidders win awards. I don’t need your nomination to know that I’m making good music!

Solidstar is not the first Nigerian music act to openly criticise award organisers. Some months ago, top African music stars such as Sarkodie, Fuse ODG, Yemi Alade, among others publicly aired their distaste following the treatment meted out to them at the 2015 BET Awards.
