ONDO State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has assured that his administration would upgrade the status of the Health Centre in Ifon to a General Hospital before the end of the year.

Governor Mimiko gave the assurance on Tuesday at the palace of the Olufon of Ifon Oba Adegoke Adeusi while addressing the traditional rulers from Ose Local Government who converged on the palace to welcome him to the council area for the PDP campaign rally.

Mimiko, who noted that Ifon, which is the headquarters of the council area deserves a general hospital to further boost the healthcare of the people, stressed that modalities for the upgrade would soon commence.

However, Governor Mimiko, who is the southwest coordinator for the PDP presidential campaign, described the re-election of Dr Goodluck as a necessity for sustainable development of Nigeria.

He urged the people of the council area to vote enmasse for President Jonathan and other candidates of the party, saying that the re-election of Dr Jonathan symbolizes fairness and equity in Nigeria.

Governor Mimiko, who had earlier met the traditional rulers in the Owo council area at the palace of Olowo Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbagi also addressed a campaign rally in Owo, the headquatres of Owo local government area, where he described any politician that failed to take root from Owo as a pretender.
