Nigeria educationTHE Proprietress, Dartforte International School, Titilade Ijiwole, has advised all outgoing students of her school to stay focus on their educational pursuit and avoid bad company when they get to tertiary institution.

Ijiwole, who gave the advice at the graduation ceremony of the college recently, said the graduating students will discover that there is greater freedom at the tertiary level where there will be nobody to tell them when to read or sleep. ‘Unless you learn to keep good company, you run the risk of mismanaging your time.”

According to her, the type of friends a person keeps can affect the behaviour of the person. She also, urged the graduands to make hard work their way of life. “You will discover that at the tertiary level, you have more work but little time, unless you learn to work hard you may not find it easy to cope,” she said.

Also speaking at the event, the guest speaker, Mrs. Grace Sam, advocated the need for creativity among the graduating students, and charged them to always think of what they could invent to make the world a better place, stressing that the journey of life demands creativity and integrity.

She advised the graduands to always make good use of their time stressing that time and tides wait for no man.

The ceremony featured music and drama presentations, and prize- giving to the brilliant and well behaved students.
