Professional cooks task Nigerians on balance diets
PROFESSIONAL cooks have tasked Nigerians to provide their families, with balanced diets, micronutrient deficiencies and the importance of culinary hygiene through interactive cooking demonstration on micronutrient fortification.
It was recommended that Maggi cube would continue to innovate in her quest to bring value to society in fulfillment of the 1869, vision of the inventor of Maggi cube, Julius Maggi taste, enjoyment and sound nutrition, to address the needs of the people and available to all Nigerians.
Addressing Journalists at Maggi Plant Tour in Agbara, Lagos, the Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer of Nestle Nigeria Plc, Chief Dharnesh Gordhon, said all ingredients used in their factories have all been approved by the regulatory authorities and comply with strict regulatory and safety evaluations.
He added over decades of success of Maggi brand can be attributed to the special ingredients in the product, which is prepared in a unique way that only Maggi knows. Maggi as best quality is locally sourced with soybeans, which is a key element in the ingredient mix to provide distinctive, fermented flour. In 2014 alone, the company purchased 9, 660 tonnes from soybeans from local farmers in Nigeria.
