Ogun State Government through its Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has reiterated the need to build a good synergy between the ministry and private schools in the state. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Modupe Mujota, who spoke during the maiden inter-house sports competition of Saddon Schools in Akute, said a healthy interaction between government and private schools would stimulate growth in the education sector.

Government is doing the best to transform the education sector in the state and take it to great heights. We are equipping schools with the best facilities and we are trying to make learning accessible for whoever is ready to study. The state will witness accelerated growth with the involvement of private schools in government’s activities”.

Meanwhile, earlier in her remarks, the Proprietress of Saddon School, Mrs. Omotanwa Ogunlolu, had stated that instituting healthy competition among children is imperative, as life itself is competition.

According to her, “It is essential the pupils understand the importance of healthy competition which studies have shown boost one’s talents, skills and inculcate the qualities of sportsmanship, team work and cooperation. Sporting is a very vital part of the school co-curriculum. It makes for the physical well-being of the pupils.
