Ocean crest graduates students in colourful ceremony

The 2017/2018 set of graduates of Ocean Crest School, Lekki, had reasons to look forward to a bright and promising future, as they were recently sent forth in a grand ceremony witnessed by parents, friends and well wishers.

The occasion, which held in the school premises, was attended by gaily-dressed guests, who came to rejoice with the students, parents and school management, as well as share in the merriment and excitement that pervaded the atmosphere.

In their speeches, the different speakers at the event urged the graduates to be good ambassadors of the school by practising and displaying all the good values inculcated in them during their academic journey in the school.

Reminding them that as future leaders, they have all it takes to excel in their various fields of endeavours later in life, having been provided the necessary foundation by the school, the speakers charged them to always do their best and show leadership skills wherever they might go or find themselves.

However, the beautiful event was not all about speeches and exhortations, as guests were treated to well-organised activities, such as drama, poetry, recitations, cultural dances and choreography, among others.

The fresh graduates also showed their joy and appreciation through moving speeches that acknowledged the school management and teachers’ untiring efforts at bringing out the best in them by moulding and tutoring them in the right way and approaches to a responsible and meaningful life.

They also appreciated their parents for their love, support and care, which had enabled them go thus far. They prayed that the Lord grant them more success and long life to see them through and enjoy the fruits of their labour of love.One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of awards to some deserving students that distinguished themselves in different subjects and academic activities during the last session.
