Oba of Lagos calls for patronage of Peugeot vehicles

The Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu has on government agencies to patronise made-in-Nigeria Peugeot vehicles.

Speaking at his palace in Lagos during a visit by PAN Nigeria Limited, which was led by its Managing Director, Ibrahim Boyi the palace, Akiolu specifically challenged the Nigerian armed forces and the police to patronise Peugeot range of vehicles due to the level of “quality, durability and reliability.”

Noting that the vehicles are best for Nigerian roads, the Oba recalled his first experience with the Peugeot vehicle that lasted more than three decades from his days as assistant commissioner of police, saying Peugeot is “tough, reliable and ideal as patrol vehicle in cities and rough terrains.”

He called on Lagos state government to use Peugeot vehicles so as to support and promote made in Nigeria products, while imploring the PAN management team to employ more Lagosians, expand its’ skills acquisition training for youth employment and continue paying taxes to FIRS and Lagos state government to boost their internally generated revenue.

In his remarks, Boyi said the firm was at the Oba’s domain to commission two dealership network and to intimate him on their new product lines.
He said the visit offered opportunity to highlight the great employment opportunities with entrepreneurship development in automotive value chain through the national automotive policy of the Federal Government.
