To galvanise efforts of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and its State counterparts, the private sector, donor agencies and other agriculture stakeholders are working towards the restoration of Nigeria’s agriculture. As a result, the consortium is holding a conference on sustainable food security in Nigeria.

Towards this goal, the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR), Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, and Azure Consult are collaborating to anchor a two-day national conference to help drive diversification. The conference aims at attracting local and international investors into this sector of great potential. The theme of this workshop is, Investing in Nigeria’s Agro Sector to Curb Agro Produce Wastage, and it would explore storage, processing and or exporting of Nigeria’s agro produce.

NIOMR, Victoria Island, Lagos is the venue of the event billed to commence from June 22, 2016.

Participants shall be able to invest in Nigerian Agro sector in order to evolve strategies to curb wastage of agro produce as they key into developing a 10-year storage and value chain system for national food security.
