To further relieve passengers of TVS tricycle, Wandel International Nigeria Limited, sole distributor of TVS brand in Nigeria, recently launched TVS King Deluxe, which comes with an in-built MP3 player and FM radio.

According to the company’s Business Head, Mr. Sunil Gondhali, his company’s strategy has always been to be two steps ahead of competition when it comes to innovation. “Indeed in 2010 when we just introduced our first tricycle, we took the bold decision to launch a four-stroke engine that would be more performance and environmental friendly, in a 100 per cent two-stroke engine environment,” he noted.

With focus on service activities and training of mechanics, TVS has so far trained 5000 mechanics, and has also enhanced quality of distribution in the country.

“Users have always dreamt to have built-in stereo in tricycle, today we are at the edge when it comes to robustness and performance of the tricycle, so we needed to go the extra mile and provide these highly demanded extra features,” Gondhali said.

Its other features are, a mounted chassis bumper, wider and taller seats with lumber support, a new stylish car-like dashboard, and integrated wheel arcs.
Gondhali is optimistic that “The TVS King Deluxe will set a new standard in the tricycle industry and comfort our market leadership position. Our Mission Statement is to develop and deliver locally relevant, contemporary innovative solution in partnership with global organizations to become the first choice of Nigerians. I am proud to say that this is the manifestation of our ambitions.

On how the company intends to handle sellers of fake spare parts, Founder, Wandel International Nigeria Ltd, Vinay Grover said they have specific dealer shops for the spare parts as his company has always been in line with innovation. He said they have also engaged the Law to help tackle the issue.
