AAAN Academy starts next year

Ensuring first class professionals in the advertising industry, the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has appointed the Chairman of Troyka Holdings, Mr. Biodun Shobanjo, as the pioneer chairman of the Advertising Academy's board of directors.

The association at it’s extraordinary general meeting, also ratified the appointment of the following distinguished practitioners as members of the board, Mr. George Thorpe, Mr. Jimi Awosika, Mr. Funmi Onabolu, Mr. Chris Doghudje, Mr. Reuben Abati, Mr. Olu Akanmu, Ms. Julia Oku and Prof. Charles Okigbo.

 

The world class academy, according to AAAN will be a uni-campus institution and will collaborate with some leading world marketing communications institutes which includes AAAN School of Advertising (South Africa), Lagos Business School (LBS), International Advertising Association (IAA), among others.

It was noted that the academy would be a one stop centre for skills acquisition and leadership training for professionals in the field of marketing and marketing communications.

The institute will also guarantee academics and professional excellence through continuous sharing of knowledge and ensuring integrity in the conduct of business while building strong leaders and a steady of pool of first class advertising professionals.

The academy, which will take off next year, will award certificate, diploma, degree and post graduate diploma in marketing and marketing communications respectively.
