Media perspectives launches Nigerian media advertising guide

Media Perspectives, Nigeria’s foremost media independent agency, launched the Nigerian Media Advertising Guide on Friday 4th December 2014 at a well-attended event at Protea Hotel In Ikeja.

Media Perspectives, Nigeria’s foremost media independent agency, launched the Nigerian Media Advertising Guide on Friday 4th December 2014 at a well-attended event at Protea Hotel In Ikeja. The Nigerian Media Advertising Guide is a research and data compilation which gives marketing communications professionals the research tools they need to reach consumers in Nigeria, which Dr. Tayo Oyedeji, Media Perspectives’ Managing Director, calls “one of the most complex markets in the world”.

The keynote address titled, “Consumer Research and Marketing: Doing it right in Nigeria”, was delivered by Mrs Iquo Ukoh of Nestle Nigeria and Mr Biodun Shobanjo, the chairman of Troyka Group welcomed the audience at the event by giving a historical perspective of the group’s leadership role in pioneering media independent specialist agencies in Nigeria and West Africa.

The keynote address delivered by Mrs Iquo Ukoh, Executive Director, Marketing Services at Nestle Nigeria Plc stressed the importance of research in understanding the consumer who is the essence of all marketing activities. She elucidated with several cases from her wealth of experience.

The event also featured a panel discussion which x-rayed the effects of research on effective marketing communications and advertising campaigns with both local and international case studies. The discussion panel comprised experts in the marketing communications industry including Mr. Feyi Olubodun, General Manager Insight Communications, Dr. Tayo Oyedeji, CEO Media Perspectives, Mr. Jude Odia, Media Director, Media Perspectives and Mrs. Iquo Ukoh.

While launching the book, Dr. Tayo Oyedeji, Media Perspectives’ Managing Director, gave a background to his agency’s decision to contribute to the growth of the media advertising industry with relevant insights drawn from analysed data. He further said that “the book is a concise research data documentation that would help marketing professionals understand and work effectively in the Nigerian media market”.

He explained that the book will be an annual publication with quarterly updates.
The event was well attended by their clients, captains of the media industry and other marketing professionals.
