Legal Blitz launches 2018 edition of Nigerian legal awards

The convener and chief executive officer (CEO) of Legal Blitz Limited and publisher of ESQ Legal Practice Magazine, Lere Fashola, has launched the 2018 edition of the Nigerian Legal Awards.

The convener and chief executive officer (CEO) of Legal Blitz Limited and publisher of ESQ Legal Practice Magazine, Lere Fashola, has launched the 2018 edition of the Nigerian Legal Awards.

He also called on leading Nigerian law firms and In-House legal departments to submit entries.

Fashola said this year’s edition, which is the 6th, would stand out with the introduction of several innovative features and awards.

He said: “The Award reviews and analyses the various landmark commercial deals across the various sectors of the Nigerian economy and honours outstanding law firms and legal professionals in Nigeria and in the diaspora who have contributed to the successful execution of the deals.

“The award reflects pre-eminence in key transactions, practice areas and achievements over a period of 18 months, including notable work, strategic growth, excellence in client service, and contribution to the legal profession at large. He stated further that to ensure credibility and informed analysis of the various deals, his firm have appointed leading general counsel and business leaders with vast experience in their chosen sectors as judges.

“The in-depth research of our team, various interviews with references supplied and the insightful analysis and decision of the judging panel makes this award most sought-after and unique in the history of the Nigerian business Community. The entry process is simple, transparent, confidential and fair to recognize the best teams and individuals and projects,” he said.

Fashola, disclosed that the deadline for entry for this year’s award, which had opened in March, is August, 2018.

He said the Judges Conference would precede the event, which is slated for November 4 at the Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.
