house.-money.-you-know-the-drillAfter months of anxiety over the delay in accessing their homes, subscribers to Lagos State government’s housing initiative, LagosHoms, eventually got the assurance that their houses would be completed soon.

Briefing the representatives of allottees in Ikeja at the weekend, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry for Housing, Mr. Olatunji. O. Odunlami, while accepting responsibility for the delay in completing the projects before December 2014, said change in government caused the delay.

According to him, three schemes, namely Mushin, Sangotedo and Igando would be completed before the end of 2015, but that the Mushin scheme would be completed by September 30, 2015.

Odunlami, while responding to the complaints by the allootees, said government was not interested in handing over uncompleted projects, but to ensure that all the necessary facilities and infrastructure are in place before the allottees pack in.
