Kola Daisi University

To cushion the effect of economic hardship on parents and students, Kola Daisi University, Ibadan, Oyo state has announced a special subsidy package spreading across all its undergraduate degree programmes.

The vice chancellor, Prof. Luke Ayorinde, in a statement issued to The Guardian stated that the subsidy scheme, which will take effect from the 2018/2019 academic session, will not only be enjoyed by new students, but by the returning students as well.

The gesture according to him, was a management’s decision, influenced by the vision of the Bashorun of Ibadanland and founder of the institution, Chief Kola Daisi, to make education not only available to the teeming Nigerian youths, but also ensure its affordability without compromising standards.

In addition to the subsidy, the vice chancellor further revealed that the university management will equally offer 2.5 per cent discount to the first 100 students to complete their registration, while students who pay their fees at once, will enjoy an extra five per cent discount.

“The Founder, in furtherance of his educational endowment programmes, had agreed to subsidise all fees and levies payable by each undergraduate student of the university to a minimum of N50, 000.
