A Nigerian-American philanthropist and body therapist, Modupe Ozolua has advocated for massive medical support for Boko Haram victims of Boko in the North-East sub-region of the country, as displaced persons required more medication and health facilities for nourishment and
rehabilitation.

Speaking during the flag off of distribution of medicament and food supplements to displaced persons at the Muna Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp; recently in Maiduguri; Ozolua said her regular visits to IDPs camps in Borno was an eye opener to the massive support required by victims of the seven-year old violence.

She said the distribution is targeted at IDPs at all the communities and local councils liberated by the military.

Her words: “The packaged nutritional meals specially produced in the U.S. for the displaced persons was to ensure that; they get needed
nutrition to build immunity against malnourishment, diarrhea and cough.

“The special nutritional meal contains lentils, rice, cyclin, green pepper, carrot, hydrated vegetables among others all in a pack.

“We have 40 feet container loaded with Medicament, vitamins and food supplements worth $3 million U.S. dollar for the people.”

She said that her discovery of malnourished people in Bama camp last June which triggered MSF report on the malnutrition crisis fueled her passion to seek ways of helping the people under her non-profit making
Empowerment foundation.
