Glo Laffta Fest berths in Lagos, 10 other locations

In a statement released recently in Lagos, the company stated that the entertainment train would move through major cities in the country from August 30 with a premier in Benin City, capital of Edo State.

According to the release, the show, which made its debut in 2009, will feature top-rated Nigerian stand-up comics including existing Glo ambassadors, Basket Mouth and Helen Paul, as well as the newly signed Bovi and AY with a guest appearance by Salvador from Uganda.

Other comedians that will thrill the audience include Okey Bakassi, I Go Die, Seyi Law, Funny Bone, Dan De Humorous, Julius Agwu, Buchi, Gordons, Omo Baba, Osama, Bash, and others.

“After the premier in Benin, the show train will move to Victoria Island in Lagos, Abeokuta, Surulere, Port Harcourt, Ikeja, Ibadan, Ikorodu, Egbeda, Abuja and Ijebu-Ode. It will be preceded by a road show in each location, where the event will be held.

“The show will also feature award winning artistes and Glo ambassadors, such as Flavor, Whiz kid, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Korede Bello, D’ija, Rekaardo Banks, Pasuma and Saheed Osupa, while DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune, DJ X Gee, DJ Spinali, DJ Switch and DJ Tor will dish out tunes from the ‘wheels-of steel.’

“Laffta Fest,” the statement continued, “is part of the Globacom’s contribution to the development of the entertainment industry in Nigeria.”

It also added that Globacom is committed to providing its subscribers with the best entertainment and value-for-money.
