It was an harvest of accolades at the thanksgiving service and reception to mark the 70th birthday of Mr. Aramide Tola Noibi, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, immediate past conference PRO of the Methodist Church, Nigeria, and former Chief Press Secretary to a one-time Minister of Information and Sports, Chief Alex Akinseye.

The event was held at the Wesley Cathedral, Olowogbowo, Lagos and the Archbishop Soremekun Memorial Hall, Broad Street, Lagos. Earlier in his address, Sir Remi Omotoso, former Conference Lay President, Methodist Church, while extolling the virtues of the celebrant, said Noibi is a man, who despite his age, carry out his assignments tirelessly without expecting reward.

He enjoined his audience to emulate the celebrant’s dogged strides to improve on their environment, society, and the nation at large.

The Deputy Group Managing Director, ThisDay Newspapers, Mr. Kayode Komolafe, while expressing gratitude to God on the celebrant’s exemplary life, recalled his contributions to the practice of journalism and public relations.

On his charge to Nigerians, Noibi said every citizen, irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliations, go embrace the basics of their relationship with God and tenets of their beliefs to live peaceably with others and move the nation forward.

Among guests at the event include retired judge of the National Industrial Court, Justice Oluwaseun Sogbola, Past President, Rotary Club of Agege, Dr. Demola Osinuga, Olori Gbemi Akitoye, Bro. Bunmi Cole, and spouse of the celebrant, Dr. (Mrs) Titilayo Noibi, who specially paid glowing tributes to the nearly 50 years of their wedding anniversary.

He described the celebrant as a truly godly and God-fearing gentleman, whose ultimate goal at all times is to improve humanity and the works of God no matter at what expense.
