Tyre Express, Prestige Assurance seal pact on insurance cover

Tyre Express Nigeria Limited, a tyre distribution firm, in conjunction with Prestige Assurance Plc has introduced an insurance policy titled ‘Tyre Damage Guarantee’ for all its customers as part of efforts to enable them enjoy a hassle-free drive.

Tyre Express Nigeria Limited, a tyre distribution firm, in conjunction with Prestige Assurance Plc has introduced an insurance policy titled ‘Tyre Damage Guarantee’ for all its customers as part of efforts to enable them enjoy a hassle-free drive.

The policy is a one-year repair/replacement warranty on tyres purchased from any of its outlets within the country.The Chief Executive Officer, DWA International, Govind Ram, said while the free policy was for a period of one year, any customers interested in extending the offer to the following year would be required to pay a small amount as the premium for the extension.

He described the offer as unique, noting that it was being introduced to the country for the first time.“Every purchase of passenger or sport utility vehicle tyre at any Tyre Express Nigeria Limited fitment centres across the country automatically qualifies for a Tyre Damage Guarantee,” he said.

Ram stressed that the initiative was introduced as part of the company’s vision of being Africa’s most admired technology-driven tyre distribution company, adding that the company remains at the forefront of introducing innovative services that benefit its customers across all countries where its operates and in keeping with the promise of ‘customer first.

Executive Director, Tyre Express, Gautam Singh Ghai, said all the tyre brands from the company were suitable for the Nigerian environment and road.According to him, the guarantee protects the owner of the vehicle from paying for any repairs or replacement of tyres damaged by road hazards such as rock, broken glass, potholes and kerbs.
“The guarantee is valid for vehicles used for private or personal purposes only; vehicles used for commercial purposes like taxi, danfo, vans and pick-ups are excluded from this cover,” Ghai said.

In his remarks, Managing Director, Prestige Assurance Plc, Dr. Balla Swamy, said: “The tyre protection policy is unique and first of its kind in Nigeria, which is aimed at giving the vehicle owners a peace of mind against the damage of tyres due to unforeseen reasons.

“The partnership with Tyre Express will definitely give a value-added service and enhance the satisfaction of the mutual customers in the process of carrying out our business of serving the community,” Swamy disclosed.
